This lamp was part of a pair that were made to go behind a sofa in front of a window. They were to sit on a long, narrow, table between the sofa and the window. There wasn’t enough room for a full round bloom so I created a variation by changing the shape of the bloom. I did this by crushing a piece of 5" round copper tubing into an oblong shape. By pulling the screen into this shape I was able to make the bloom narrower to fit the space available. All the copper has a dark anodized, waxed and polished finish. The base is a rich, dark brown, Paperstone cut to mimic the shape of the light head above. There is a full range dimmer on the back side of the pole. A six foot, twisted, rayon cord comes out of the back of the base. The lamp stands 31" tall by 18” wide, left to right on the bloom.
